Happy Earth Day everyone! Here’s some fun ways for you and your family to conserve both the environment and the funds in your wallet.
Head on over to Brookfield Zoo today for their Earth Day Party for the Planet. This is a great option for those of you who are already Zoo members since admission and parking are already included. It’s also a great opportunity to learn about animal and environmental conservation. You can even recycle select household items. On Sunday they are offering a family friendly Earth Day run. Pre-registration and an extra fee are required.
If you’re in Wheaton today, then stop by Cosley Zoo for their Earth Day crafting event. Pre-registration is required and there is a $9.00 fee.
Morton Arboretum is offering an Arbor Day plant sale April 27-29th. You must buy tickets in advance for timed entry to this event. Tickets are a bit pricey at $27 a piece, but if you are already a member tickets will only run you $10.
