I know it’s pretty much full speed ahead to Christmas according to the retailers, but here’s some awesome family friendly Thanksgiving events that will even leave your wallet feeling stuffed.

Midwest SOARRING foundation Pow Wow: Sorry for the late notice on this one, but I just saw it on Facebook today. It runs today and tomorrow at Dupage County Fairgrounds in Wheaton Il. It’s $15 for adults and $7 for children and is a great opportunity to learn more about Native American Indian culture and tradition. Click on the hyperlink above for more information.

Strides for Pies 5k: Guess I blew this one as well, the race was this morning at 8:30 am, but keep your eyes peeled for it next year. It’s offered through the St. Charles Il park district. Start looking for the sign up for it in August as it fills up fast!
