Sooooo….in our district there’s a full week off for Thanksgiving and roughly two and a half weeks off for winter break. That’s a loooooot of time to fill. If you’re in my neck of the woods here’s some totally free events being offered through the Park District, library, and village. Most events are drop in, but a couple like ‘Noon Year’s Eve’ and paint and sip require pre-registration. I’ve included hyperlinks to the events which will tell you times and locations as well as take you to the sight for pre-registration.

November 25: Christmas Light Ceremony, Downtown St. Charles.

November 26: Free movie at Acadia Theater. Electric Light Parade, Downtown St. Charles.

December 23: Legos at the library.

December 28: Free movie at the library.

December 31: Noon Year’s Eve at the library. ***Pre-register using the link on the Calander***

January 5: Paint and sip at the library. ***Pre-register using the link on the Calander***
January 6: Twin leaf Tales at Hickory Knolls Nature center.
Hope these ideas help you keep both your sanity and the cash in your wallet during holiday break time.
Cheers!
Love,
Marie
